REGEN-Nations

REGEN-Nations is a whole systems education programme that empowers individuals and communities to develop impactful projects. Our online learning journey is brought to you by Global Ecovillage Network Oceania & Asia (GENOA) and taught by regenerative action experts from our region.

More than ever before, we need solutions that are resilient, regenerative and in support of the complex web life on our Earth. Time is of the essence – it is crucial to take action now, to restore and heal our connections for a better future.

“Half of the world’s people are “highly vulnerable” to serious impacts from the climate crisis, a billion people in coastal areas face inundation, mass die-offs of species including trees and coral have already begun, and close to a tenth of the world’s farmland is set to become unsuitable for agriculture.” Fiona Harvey Environment correspondent, The Guardian.

Regenerative projects Asia

Asia & Oceania is one of the most climate vulnerable regions on the planet. It is also rich with (bio) diversity of wisdom, knowledge and skills, is primed to co-create regenerative ways of living — REGEN-nations gather together leaders, elders and experts from our region to share their wisdom in an accessible and supportive framework.

How does our programme work?

We guide you through the five Dimensions of Regeneration to develop holistic solutions for resilience and regeneration. Our Whole Systems Design journey includes Social, Cultural, Ecological and Economic design as well as personal development and leadership skills. Here’s a look at our curriculum:

Regenerative project design

Originally run as a live programme, our 2022 cycle has finished, and our course is now available to individuals and groups as self directed learning for one year. Please subscribe to know about all our live events.

Our live programme format is a 6 months online learning journey is project based with interactive action learning and individual feedback from your dedicated facilitator. When you join the whole programme you also receive 2 hours of one to one coaching giving expert guidance just for your project.

Join our self directed learning journey at any time. You can choose the whole programme or just the single dimension you need the most and develop your leadership skills to be better able to put into action solutions to restore ourselves, our communities, and our planet.

REGEN-Nations Community Space

One of the best things about our course is getting to know others who are working towards regeneration too. For most of us, regeneration is a way of life which doesn’t just end once the course is over. So we have created a dedicated space for our community to thrive. Stay in touch with our wonderful REGEN alumni, projects and facilitators to keep inspiring, collaborating and growing together. Everyone who attends REGEN-nations learning journey is welcome to join our growing community.

Hear from some of the projects activated in REGEN-nations:

“REGEN-Nations has guided our leadership and perspective in approaching the Project. We were able to incorporate significant (whole systems) principles into our practices. It has expanded the scope and added so much value to our project. The Program has enabled us to organize our strategies and has given us specific ideas and steps on how to work on our project successfully.”

“One of the many things we have learnt from this prototyping lab is how to effectively and genuinely communicate & share our project to others around the world. Communicating through not only what you say, but how you say it and what you do in practice is a significant part of forming a presence as a regenerative organisation.“

“REGEN-Nations helped us understand the four dimensions of sustainability and also the challenges ecovillage communities face. We also learned that the effective sustainable way is to connect to the local community. Through participating in this program, we are affirmed (that we are) on the right path. We will continue to go in (this direction), bit by bit bringing new elements to the community”.

Are you ready to join us?

There is an urgent need for regenerative projects on the ground which both embody traditional wisdom and have a holistic and appropriate approach. We need a million solutions, created locally by the people they are for. We need people working on every topic and in every location on the planet. We are excited to share the collective wisdom of our speakers, facilitators and communities and help projects on the ground grow in whichever way they need to.

Our Vision

We envision a committed, cooperative community and network of concerned individuals and organisations, who share knowledge, experience and wisdom in the creation of communities that use wisdom from all over Oceania and Asia; communities where people live sustainably with dignity, in harmony with each other, with nature and in the belief of evolutionary process.
