Slow Down for The Earth | Regeneration through the lenses of Karen people

What would it mean for the Earth if we are consciously and culturally attuned with the flow of nature, as individuals and communities?

The Karen people in Northern Thailand were born and raised in deep relationship with nature. This can be seen in their umbilical cord ritual, their culture, their way of living and agricultural practices.

We were all once born in this sacred relationship with the Earth. And yet modernization and industrialization has ripped us off of this bond.

Witnessing this happening to the world and to the Karen indigenous people gave Pi Swae (Siwakorn Odochao) the motivation to live and develop the movement and philosophy of “Slowing Down for the Earth” which he inherited from his own family.

In this two-hour sharing session, Pi Swae will share with us his personal & collective journey, which is intertwined with the journey of reinvigorating the relationship between Karen people and the land. You will see it in not only his way of living, but also his business – The Lazy-man Coffee, his agricultural practices and his work in community development.
