Who we are
Within GENOA, ecovillage refers to intentional communities; indigenous and traditional villages and communities; faith-based and spiritual communities; and urban eco-neighbourhoods – and where people identify themselves with an intention to live in a holistic sustainable manner.

GENOA consists of distinct subregions South Asia, South East Asia, East Asia and Oceania. Within these subregions, national ecovillage networks, thematic networks, and mature ecovillages hold insight into and knowledge of the region, and best practices of ecovillage transition.
